On-Site Sewage Facility design support for properties in Central Texas. We help navigate permitting, system selection, and compliance requirements.
OSSF Systems Background and Information
What is an OSSF?
An On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF) is a system for treating and disposing of wastewater on individual properties not connected to municipal sewer lines. Texas requires all OSSF systems to be designed by a licensed Engineer or registered Sanitarian and it's permitted through your local county authority or jurisdiction.
Permitting Process
The permitting process typically includes a site evaluation, soil analysis, system design, and county review. Processing times vary by county but typically range from as little as one month, to 6 months for residential projects and can take up to one year for commercial projects.
